The International Travel Show 2023 (ITS2023), to be held in New York City, 26-28 October is to incorporate meeting and event planners for the first time.
The leading travel-buying market in the country takes place at Javits Center and will include this year a showcase of B2B and B2C events to meet the interests of travel buyers and travel sellers.
ITS2023’s new show format is designed to stimulate business exchange as travel recovery continues.
Travel + Leisure GO will join again as a Presenting Sponsor of the show, along with over a dozen significant travel industry associations and media sponsors, including Destinations International, PCMA, IAEE and IATA. “The time is right for a new approach to business building and consideration across industry categories and audiences,” according to Travel + Leisure.
Don Welsh, president and CEO, Destinations International said his association was excited to partner with the show, “to help create a unique opportunity for our members to meet multiple markets at one time to strengthen transaction opportunities in an efficient and cost-effective format. ITS2023 participants from Destinations International will benefit from best-in-class programming, a global exhibitor base and the opportunity to set appointments with all attendees.”
Paul Muir (pictured), president of ITS, explains “ITS2023 has targeted each day of the exhibition for specific buyers and suppliers through Conferences, Receptions and the Exhibition on days that are dedicated to their category of interest.” Thursday focuses on Meetings and Event Planners.”
According to Mike Fiorentino, ITS director and partner, “Adding meetings and event planners to the show will create a vital opportunity for destinations and others to meet face-to-face with a key category of buyer due to the sheer number of travellers that attend domestic and worldwide conferences. This is an ideal format for both sides to come together.”
ITS2023 features an Electronic Lead Retrieval System that will allow exhibitors to gather leads from attendees via the ITS2023 App. The show will also launch an Appointment System for both exhibitors and attendees to use throughout the exhibition.
